Peahen is an editor and designer team. We have worked in children's publishing for years and are bringing our love of stories to life through creative book workshops.
Our workshops offer something for all, from aspiring authors to reluctant readers. Peahen workshops can be catered to suit all ages and abilities.
We can bring Peahen workshops to schools, libraries, museums, festivals ...
We supply all the materials you need.
From after school clubs to lesson-time learning, we can adapt to fit in with your busy schedule.
The aim of our workshops is to get children excited about writing and to have fun bringing their stories to life with the message that you are never too young to be an author.
Our workshops start with lively warm-ups. Along with the writing, we encourage drawing which is a great way to get those initial thoughts down on paper. We have collaborated with Paper Nations (sponsored by Bath Spa University), a creative writing initiative for young people. We believe children should have fun with words and be encouraged with their creativity – no red pens allowed!
We have worked in schools and can cater our workshops for the year group, incorporating elements of the national curriculum. The workshops are a great extra curricular activity.
